Ubisoft faces new legal actions for alleged sexual abuse throughout the company. Kotaku and Rock Paper Shotgun reported that French workers SolidAires Informatiques and two former Ubisoft staff had sued game developers for allegedly enabling the culture of “institutional sexual abuse.” It should be easier for Ubisoft to tolerate violations than to solve problems, according to unity.
The lawsuit targets several Ubisoft and previous workers, including former Capile Cornet Manager (Head of Human Resources), Tommy Francois (VP Editorial) and Serge Hascoët (global creative director). The head of the Yves Guillemot company is also under supervision not for direct involvement, but because he is inherently “responsible” for what happened in Ubisoft.
Ubisoft told my city “there was no further detail to be distributed” in response to claims against giant games. This previously said that it had investigated all claims and took the right response.
There were already complaints that Ubisoft did not fully handle charges like this. The source of Bloomberg said that managers accused remained in senior positions, and that staff reported an unexpected sexist and racist activity.
There is no certainty, the lawsuit will succeed, let alone forcing institutional changes in Ubisoft. However, it was clear that the company’s initial efforts were not enough to satisfy employees. If the accurate accusation, sweet potatoes may need to take a more drastic step if it will prevent the violation and subsequent fall.
