A Godaddy email account is one that has been installed on your computer for whatever reason. It’s a great service and there are a lot of things you can do with it, but not all the great things are covered under the normal plan of things. If you’re like me, it may be difficult to figure out how to change the Godaddy email password because this is not something that is standard in most places. If you want to be able to access your account from any place you like, then it needs to be able to be accessed using your Godaddy email password reset method. This will allow you to login and have full control of your account. There are three ways to do this.
The first option is to use the instructions that come with your email program. Every email program will come with its own reset email password instructions and these will generally cover resetting the password on the account itself. You should not change the actual email program files, but you can instead access these through the command line interface and then enter the appropriate commands. It is imperative that you make sure you are in a safe site when you perform this operation. If you enter an incorrect URL or IP address during this process, you could end up seeing more problems than before or at worst, having your account hacked and you’ll have to start all over again.
The second option is to use the software included with your email provider. If you have this type of account, then all you have to do is install the reset email software and follow the instructions. For many people, this is the best option because it allows them to still have full access to their account and they don’t have to worry about remembering new codes or anything like that. It also gives the user a chance to completely clean the old password data on their account and can be done with a few simple clicks of the mouse.
The last option that is available to you is to use the Windows based tool to reset the Godaddy email password. This requires that you have administrator privileges on your account. You will be able to accomplish this by first restoring the account to an earlier state, before then transferring the contents of the account to your Windows based PC. To do this, you will need to go to Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs and locate the Godaddy email server add on. Once you find this, you will need to click on the option that says “HTTPS settings” and it will redirect you to the webpage where you can change the settings so that everything works as it should.
Changing the password on this account is very simple and once you have made the change, you can be confident that nobody else has accessed your account. For safety reasons, you should never use the same password for other accounts such as MSN, Yahoo, MySpace, or any other provider. This is because if anybody has access to your email, then they have access to everything on that account including your password reset. Keep in mind that there is no other way to reset the password on the Godaddy email account other than to follow the steps outlined in this article.
In the past, we’ve heard rumors that resetting the password of a Godaddy account can lead to the account being deleted, but this is not the case. If you are reading this article, then you most likely are looking for some means of changing the password of your account. As we’ve discussed previously, changing the password of the Godaddy email account will not result in the account being deleted, but it will cause the functionality of the account to be disabled until a new password is set. If you’re unable to come up with a new password, then you may wish to change your username, but this is not advised.
